By: Aziz Khatri

KARACHI: In a significant step towards empowering Pakistan’s youth, Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi’s chief, Muneem Zafar Khan, has announced the nationwide expansion of Al-Khidmat’s “Bano Qabil” initiative, heralding a transformational journey “from hope to belief.” The program, which has already trained an impressive 55,000 students across 28 free IT courses, is currently supported by 55 training centers operating in Karachi alone.

During the graduation ceremony for 5,000 students from the Bano Qabil 3.0 and 3.1 cohorts, held as part of the Education Expo 2025, Khan commended the initiative as a realization of Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman’s vision to uplift jobless educated youth. He highlighted that thousands of graduates are now employed or successfully freelancing, calling the program a “ray of hope” for families and a vital contribution to national development.

In its ongoing efforts, Al-Khidmat has also introduced incubation centers and a dedicated job portal, Qabil.jobs, aimed at linking graduates with potential employers in the IT sector. Director Farooq Kamalani announced the launch of a summer session under Bano Qabil 4.0, reflecting the increasing nationwide interest in the program.

The graduation event attracted a diverse audience, including corporate and government representatives, journalist Mahmood Sham, and comedian Ayaz Khan, all of whom praised the innovative projects showcased by the students. Khan encouraged the young attendees to move past despair and “stand on their own feet” by fully embracing the opportunities available in Pakistan’s burgeoning digital economy.
