MADE IN PAKISTAN MOVEMENT DELEGATION VISITS UK TO PROMOTE BILATERAL TRADE

Karachi: A delegation from the Made in Pakistan Movement, led by its founder and chairman Rizwan Jaffar, recently visited the United Kingdom to strengthen bilateral trade ties between Pakistan and the UK. The delegation included notable business leaders such as Atif Iqbal, CEO of High-Q Group and a member of the Pakistan Britain Business Council (PBBC), and Rashid Iqbal Khan, CEO of the Pakistan Britain Business Council.

During their visit, the delegation toured the British Parliament, met with Pakistan's High Commissioner to the UK, Dr. Mohammad Faisal, and engaged with various trade and commercial centers. The primary focus of the visit was to promote Made in Pakistan products in the UK market and explore opportunities for expanding Pakistan-UK trade cooperation.

Speaking to a group of journalists, Rizwan Jaffar emphasized the urgent need to enhance bilateral trade between the two countries. He stated, "Through the platform of the Made in Pakistan Movement, we aim to showcase Pakistani products across the UK and the world. We are committed to using all available resources for the promotion and growth of our local industries."

Atif Iqbal highlighted the potential for expanding bilateral trade in the health sector, particularly in the import and export of pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals and medical equipment. Rashid Iqbal Khan reaffirmed the Council's commitment to promoting Pakistani products in the UK and strengthening commercial ties.

British parliamentarian Lord Qurban Hussain praised the popularity of Pakistani cuisine in the UK, noting that Pakistani restaurants are widely loved and frequented by the local population.

Pakistan's High Commissioner to the UK, Dr. Mohammad Faisal, emphasized the importance of delegation exchanges in boosting bilateral trade and fostering greater collaboration between the two nations. The delegation also held discussions with the High Commissioner on topics including sports and arts, among other key issues.
