Mayor Claims Overall Situation Under Control Amid Concerns from MQM Pakistan

KARACHI: During his visit to various areas of the city on Saturday, Mayor Murtaza Wahab stated that the overall situation in Karachi remains under control. He emphasized that all municipal departments are functioning efficiently and are dedicated to ensuring that residents do not encounter any inconvenience.

Wahab highlighted the presence of municipal representatives, staff, and machinery on the roads, stating that they are ready to take immediate action in response to complaints. He assured the public that he is in constant communication with the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board, Water Corporation, and other relevant authorities to address any issues promptly.

In contrast, the Central Committee of MQM Pakistan has raised significant concerns regarding the conditions in Karachi and the broader Sindh region following the recent heavy rainfall. They expressed condolences for the lives lost and the damage to property, urging for more effective management and support for the affected community
