KARACHI: Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Sindh leader, MPA and Parliamentary Secretary for Transport and Excise, Dr. Sham Sundar K. Advani, termed the Sindh provincial budget as "public-friendly" during his speech in the budget session of the Sindh Assembly. He congratulated Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah for presenting the 18th consecutive budget, stating that no better budget could have been presented given the current economic and political conditions of the country.
He lauded the chief minister and his team for preparing a budget aligned with the vision and mission of the Pakistan People's Party. Dr. Sham Sundar strongly criticized the opposition for raising objections without even reading the budget book, calling it an insult to their own public mandate.
He emphasized that the budget not only offers relief to the general public but also includes significant mega projects and development schemes that will bring a revolutionary transformation to the province.
Paying rich tribute to President Asif Ali Zardari, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Ms. Faryal Talpur, and Ms. Asefa Bhutto, he said that the leadership of PPP is successfully carrying forward the legacy and people-centric policies of the party’s founding chairman Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.
He asserted that PPP is the unifying force of all four provinces, deeply rooted in the masses. The party has always played a key role in the welfare and betterment of the people.
Highlighting PPP's uninterrupted rule in Sindh for the past 18 years, Dr. Sham Sundar said it reflects the public's endorsement of the party’s policies. He concluded by stating that the provincial budget has won the hearts of the people, which has left the opposition in a state of confusion and frustration.
