Larkana: The highly anticipated Sindh Theatre Festival Larkana 2025, jointly organized by the Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi, and the Arts Council Larkana, wrapped up after 10 exhilarating days of theatrical performances. The event saw a significant turnout, with attendees including the esteemed Chairman of the District Council Larkana, Ejaz Laghari, alongside Ismail Jatoi, President of Arts Council Larkana, Secretary Hanif Suhag, and various members of the governing body, artists, and an enthusiastic audience.
Ismail Jatoi, President of the Arts Council Larkana, took a moment to celebrate the hard work and dedication of the participating artists. “This 10-day event is a true testament to the efforts of writers, directors, and performers,” he stated. Jatoi extended his appreciation to Muhammad Ahmed Shah and the governing body of the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi for their unwavering support in bringing the festival to life. He also expressed hope for continued collaboration to enhance the cultural experiences available to the public.
Throughout the festival, audiences were treated to a variety of theatrical productions, including Wajid Azad's "Ishq Fishq," Amjad Abro's “Daywidhi,” Ufaq Basheer Channa's “Kati a konhay doh” and “Aas Naras,” Shameem Abbasi's “Thano Siyano,” Rafique Abro's “Taraqi jo rasto,” Ayoob Gaad's “Bhala Re Bhaag,” Asad Khokhar's “Wah JoAayhan” and “Bewas,” and “Qaidyani” by Loung Sheikh.
As a fitting conclusion, the directors of all ten plays were honored with performance shields, celebrating their contributions to the festival's success. The positive feedback and enthusiastic participation showcased the community's appreciation for the arts, paving the way for future cultural events in the region.
