Karachi: In a significant gathering aimed at revolutionizing the traffic management system, the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Traffic Karachi chaired a crucial meeting that brought together all Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) of the Traffic Police, along with key stakeholders from various sectors. The meeting, attended by DSP Operations/Security Saeed Ahmed, DSP Traffic Admin Kashif Nadeem, and leading figures from the Xtreme Mobile App Company and FM88.6 Sindh Police, focused on important initiatives to promote E-Ticketing and improve overall traffic conditions in the city.
Additionally, the DIG announced the establishment of a complaint cell across all districts of the Traffic Police. This initiative is designed to allow citizens to report any issues related to traffic or the performance of traffic police personnel. SSPs were instructed to allocate appropriate spaces in their districts for the complaint centers, which will be staffed by experienced officers trained to swiftly address public concerns. Complainants will also have the ability to monitor the status of their complaints online.
Furthering the discussion, the DIG stressed the importance of adhering to vehicle registration protocols, specifically the requirement to display number plates as mandated by the Excise department. Citizens were urged to ensure their vehicles are registered correctly and can do so at Excise and Taxation offices, NADRA centers, or E-Facility shops.
As a part of the overall awareness campaign, the DIG called upon the advertising company, FM-88.6 Radio Sindh Police, and all social media platforms to actively promote e-ticketing and inform the public of its benefits.
This meeting reflects the commitment of the Traffic Police Karachi to modernize its services and enhance the experience of citizens while navigating the city's complex traffic landscape.
