Model and Actor Humaira Asghar Ali Found Dead in Apartment

Karachi: The tragic discovery of model and actor Humaira Asghar Ali's body has sent shockwaves through the entertainment community, as authorities reported her death in her apartment located in the upscale Defence Housing Authority (DHA) on Tuesday. Police officials confirmed that the 32-year-old actress was found unresponsive in her rented flat on the fourth floor of a building in Ittehad Commercial, Phase VI. South DIG Syed Asad Raza indicated that her body appeared to have been lying in the apartment for several days prior to its discovery.

The grim finding took place when the Gizri police, accompanied by a bailiff, arrived at the apartment around 3:15 PM to execute a court order for eviction due to non-payment of rent since 2024. After receiving no response at the door, police were compelled to force entry, leading them to the heart-wrenching scene. SSP-South Mahzoor Ali noted that the police promptly informed the Crime Scene Unit, which collected vital evidence from the scene. The body was subsequently transported to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for a post-mortem examination. Police surgeon Dr. Summaiya Syed reported that the remains were in a "very advanced stage of decomposition." While the exact cause of death remains undetermined pending a chemical analysis report, authorities believe there is no foul play involved, as all doors in the apartment were locked from the inside. "The final report from the doctors is awaited to ascertain the exact cause of death," said the SSP. Meanwhile, efforts are underway to locate Ms. Ali's relatives through her cell phone contacts. Humaira Asghar Ali gained prominence through her appearances in the ARY reality show "Tamasha Ghar" and the 2015 film "Jalaibee." This incident serves as a chilling reminder of the recent passing of renowned TV artist Ayesha Khan, whose lifeless body was discovered last month in her Gulshan-i-Iqbal apartment, where she'd lived alone for several years. The entertainment industry mourns the loss of another talent, urging for more awareness and support for individuals facing personal challenges.
