Rotary Club of Karachi Nexus Holds 7th Annual Ceremony at DHA Club

Karachi: The 7th annual ceremony of the Rotary Club of Karachi Nexus took place yesterday at the DHA Club Phase 2, marking a significant occasion for the club and its members. The event was graced by District Governor 3271 Shakeel Qaim Khani as the chief guest, alongside District Governor Elect Shahzad Sabir, District Governor Nominee Chaudhry Fahad Siddiqui, and District Secretary Furqan Sheikh, among others.


The gathering saw participation from various other Rotary clubs, including the Rotary Club of Karsaz and Rotary Club of Karachi Environment. Central to the event was the formal installation of the new president, Fawad Sheikh, who expressed his excitement and commitment to advancing the club's goals.

In his welcoming address, Abdul Salam Dadabhoy, President-elect of RC Nexus, expressed gratitude to the attendees and extended his warm wishes to Fawad Sheikh. He conveyed optimism that the coming year would be fruitful for the club, with aspirations for Fawad Sheikh to elevate the organization to new heights.


The ceremony, conducted by General Secretary Muhammad Ali Haider, offered insights into the club's history and growth. Haider attributed the club's success to its strong sense of community, adherence to bylaws, and strategic planning, highlighting these elements as crucial for its increasing popularity and stability.

Haider also provided an update on the club's ongoing projects, including the Taleem Gah School and various initiatives related to environmental conservation. The Governor was briefed on the medical camps organized by the club, as well as challenges concerning bank accounts and registration.

Fawad Sheikh, during his address, expressed gratitude to the members for their support and unveiled his plans for the year ahead. He emphasized his commitment to focusing on educational projects, including the establishment of electronic learning centers for children lacking access to schooling, in response to the alarming statistic that 25 million children in Sindh are currently out of school.

District Governor Shakeel Qaim Khani delivered an inspiring speech, praising the Rotary Club of Karachi Nexus for its remarkable achievements over the past seven years. He called for membership growth, encouraging the club to strive for 100 members and to collaborate closely with fellow Rotary clubs.

The ceremony also recognized members who had provided exemplary service over the past three years with honorary shields and certificates. In total, 11 new members were welcomed and presented with pins, marking the introduction of fresh talent to District 3271.

As the ceremony concluded, it was evident that the Rotary Club of Karachi Nexus is poised for an impactful year ahead under the leadership of Fawad Sheikh, with aspirations to further its contributions to the community and fulfill its mission of service and fellowship.
