Security Measures Reviewed for Muharram Processions in Karachi

Karachi’s Home Minister, Ziaul Hasan Lanjar, along with Mayor Murtaza Wahab, Senior Waqar Mehdi, and IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon, conducted an inspection of security arrangements for the processions on the ninth day of Muharram al-Haram throughout the city. They assessed security measures at various locations, including Numaish, Nishtar Park, Husainia Irania, Kharadar, and M. A. Jinnah Road. The Home Minister observed the security setup at the C Breez Plaza, while the Sindh IG provided a detailed briefing on the arrangements

Emphasizing the importance of security, the Home Minister instructed officials to ensure foolproof safety measures. Discussions were held with procession organizers regarding security and other arrangements. "The peace and stability of the city is our top priority," the Home Minister stated. Mayor Murtaza Wahab confirmed that cleanliness, lighting, and comprehensive arrangements would be implemented along the procession routes.
