Sindh Achieves Milestone in Driving License Issuance

The Sindh government has proudly announced a significant milestone in the issuance of driving licenses. Under the visionary leadership of the Sindh government and the directives of Inspector General (IG) Sindh, Mr. Ghulam Nabi Memon, online driving licenses were officially launched for the public on September 28, 2024.

DIG Mr. Yunus Chandio has been instrumental in successfully implementing this initiative, resulting in the issuance of a record number of online driving licenses. To date, 200,897 individuals have obtained their learner licenses through the Sindh online web portal, enabling them to acquire their licenses conveniently from the comfort of their homes. This achievement is particularly noteworthy as the milestone of 100,000 learner licenses was surpassed on February 18 of this year.

In addition to learner licenses, the online platform has facilitated the issuance of 14,067 online permanent license renewals and 7,600 international driving permits. This robust online system has attracted a total of 375,127 registered users on the Sindh online driving license website.

This initiative represents a transformative approach to driving license acquisition in Sindh, reflecting the government's commitment to leveraging technology for enhanced public services.
