KARACHI: In a heartfelt show of solidarity, Dr. Sham Sundar K. Advani, a member of the Sindh Assembly and Parliamentary Secretary of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP), attended a memorial ceremony dedicated to the 20 lives tragically lost in a recent incident in Lyari. The ceremony was organized by the Maheshwari Gyan & Study Research Centre to honor the victims and provide solace to their grieving families.
During the emotional event, Dr. Advani conveyed his profound sorrow, stating that the atmosphere was one of deep grief, marked by silence and reverence. The flickering candles lit in memory of the deceased were poignant reminders of the lives that were lost in an inexplicably tragic moment. Attendees expressed their sorrow through prayers, tears, and silent sobs, reflecting the collective heartache shared by the community.
“These were not just members of your families; they were equally close to my heart. Their loss is no less than a personal tragedy for me. This pain will remain etched in our hearts forever,” Dr. Advani remarked, as he comforted the bereaved families.
He emphasized that the leadership of the Pakistan People’s Party, including President Asif Ali Zardari, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Ms. Faryal Talpur, Ms. Asifa Bhutto Zardari, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, and the entire Sindh Government, stands united with the families during this harrowing time.
“Though we know that those we have lost cannot return, we will ensure that justice is served. Investigations are ongoing, and that responsible will be brought to justice. Every possible assistance will be extended to the affected families,” Dr. Sham Sundar Advani assured attendees, echoing the commitment of the party and the government to support the grieving community.
