Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi's Lok Virsa Committee Hosts "An Evening with Bedil Masroor"

Karachi: The Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi's Lok Virsa Committee organized an event titled "An Evening with Bedil Masroor" at the Haseena Moin Hall. The gathering featured several notable personalities, including Mahtab Akbar Rashdi, Beena Masroor, A.D. Baloch, Dr. Dil Somro, and Naseer Mirza, who shared their insights on Bedil Masroor's contributions to the arts.

The evening was enhanced by the melodious performances of Narodha Malni and Sindhiya Somro, adding an extra charm to the occasion. During the event, President of the Arts Council, Mohammad Ahmed Shah, expressed his admiration for Bedil Masroor, noting that Masroor's extensive body of work speaks for itself and has earned him considerable recognition.

"He has made his mark through his work," Shah stated. "The Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi has been honoring artists for years." He further emphasized that Bedil Masroor does not adhere to barriers of race, religion, or color and has always strived to unite people. "Masroor often writes poetry, saves it on his mobile phone, and later refines it," Shah added, highlighting Masroor's versatility and passion for his craft. Shah also reflected on the growth of the Arts Council, recalling that when he first joined, there were only ten members; today, membership has surged to thousands. In recognition of Bedil Masroor's contributions, he presented him with a bouquet and an Ajrak as a token of appreciation. Other speakers at the event praised Masroor for dedicating his life to poetry, songwriting, and artistic endeavors. They lauded his profound impact on music and poetry, describing his work as an inspiration for the younger generation.

Bedil Masroor expressed his gratitude to Arts Council President Mohammad Ahmed Shah and Dr. Ayub Sheikh for organizing such a wonderful event. The evening reached its pinnacle when Narodha Malni and Sindhiya Somro performed some of Bedil Masroor's iconic compositions, breathing new life into his creations. Their beautiful renditions received widespread applause from the audience, who showed their appreciation with cheers and claps.
