Dhaka, Bangladesh, has lifted the visa requirement for Pakistani officials for the first time since 1971. This decision was made by the country's caretaker government, led by Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus, which approved a mutual visa exemption agreement.
Under this agreement, holders of diplomatic and official passports from both Bangladesh and Pakistan can now travel without needing a visa. Shafiq Islam, a secretary to Muhammad Yunus, noted that similar agreements are already in place with 31 other countries, highlighting Bangladesh's commitment to expanding its diplomatic relations.
