The DIG East Zone directed senior officers on the spot to address these security concerns.

Orders were given to deploy sniper personnel on tall buildings along the main procession routes and to ensure the main route is cleared by the Bomb Disposal Squad.

Officers were instructed to keep all police personnel at their designated posts on time and not to leave their posts until the procession ends and the next order is issued.
