Karachi: In a significant step towards enhancing urban infrastructure, a crucial coordination meeting took place at the DIG Traffic office, focusing on the Karachi Greater Regional Plan 2047. The gathering addressed pressing issues of urban flooding and initiated a comprehensive road survey program aimed at improving the city’s traffic management.
Key figures from the meeting included DIG Traffic Karachi, Asian consultant Mr. David, and Project Director Arshad Khan, who provided insightful briefings on the forthcoming survey initiative. The surveys are set to be conducted at 27 major locations throughout the city, with the dual goal of optimizing traffic flow and minimizing accidents, ultimately safeguarding the lives of commuters.
DIG Traffic emphasized that the traffic police will extend full cooperation towards the survey efforts and related initiatives designed to enhance travel safety and comfort for Karachi's residents. This commitment marks a proactive approach in addressing urban challenges and fostering a safer commuting environment for all citizens.
