Karachi — A dignified ceremony was held at the Bayt al-Ilm Hall of the Razakabad Training Centre, where the Sindh Police Boxing Team announced its new head coach and distributed international‑standard boxing kits to players. DIG Traffic Karachi and Chairman Sindh Police Sports Board, Pir Muhammad Shah, was the chief guest. The event also featured the newly appointed head coach, Mr. Cal Bands, Deputy Secretary of Sports, SP Saeed Ahmed, and numerous boxing athletes.
Mr. Cal Bands was officially named head coach of the boxing team during the ceremony. The foreign coach is expected to introduce modern training techniques and core skills to elevate the team’s performance at provincial and national competitions.
Team managers and the chairman distributed the boxing kits to players. Speaking at the event, Pir Muhammad Shah said sports activities highlight athletes’ abilities and help create a positive image for the police. He affirmed the Sindh Police team’s commitment to full participation in upcoming provincial and national tournaments.
Organizers said the new coaching leadership and modern equipment are expected to improve team performance. The program concluded with officers and athletes pledging to perform strongly in future competitions.
