Karachi: The Jashn-e-Azadi Cricket Tournament 2025 took place on August 13 and 14 at the KMC Ground, captivating cricket enthusiasts with fierce competition among eight teams in both Senior and Junior categories.
In an exhilarating Junior final, Martin King triumphed over Osmanieh Shaheen to claim the championship title, while Mulla Eleven showcased their prowess by defeating Kashif Sports in the Senior final. The tournament not only showcased thrilling matches but also brought the community together to celebrate sportsmanship and talent.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Shiraz Pir, who made a special appearance to present awards to the outstanding players. Alongside him, Chairman Asif Arain, Secretary Shahid Ghanchi, and UC-5 Vice Chairman took part in distributing prizes to the victorious teams. Former Chairman Noor Bhai commended the dedication and spirit shown by the players representing UC-5 and UC-6, emphasizing the importance of community involvement in sports.
Further adding to the significance of the tournament, PIB Social Welfare General Secretary Dabeer Ghori expressed appreciation for the hard work and high standards exhibited by the participating teams. Nelson Paints Sales Manager Basar Siddiqui also contributed by presenting awards to guests and players, enhancing the event's prestige.
This year’s Jashn-e-Azadi Cricket Tournament not only celebrated the spirit of independence but also highlighted the immense local talent and reinforced community bonds through the cherished sport of cricket.
