Mayor Murtaza Wahab Lays Foundation Stone for Development Projects in Korangi

Karachi, Mayor Karachi, Barrister Murtaza Wahab, inaugurated multiple development projects in the Korangi District, attended by Deputy Mayor Salman Abdullah Murad and other local officials.


In his speech, Mayor Wahab emphasized the construction of modern roads, with a focus on UC-35, where CC tough concrete blocks will be laid at a cost of 237 million rupees. He highlighted the installation of curb blocks, drainage improvements, and sewage system developments as key components of the initiative.
Wahab reaffirmed the Pakistan Peoples Party's commitment to serving Karachiites, stating, "If Karachiites are living there, then Bilawal Bhutto’s party will certainly deliver services." He also criticized past leaders for failing to fulfill promises of large funding for city projects and asserted that tangible steps are now in progress. Among the notable projects, the completion of the new Hub Canal was mentioned as a critical improvement in water infrastructure, and works on the K-IV project have commenced under his administration. He also noted the establishment of a center for special children in Korangi and ongoing healthcare initiatives supported by the Sindh government. Wahab concluded that significant development work is unfolding in Korangi, aiming to enhance the quality of life for residents while ensuring transparency and efficiency in the execution of these projects.
