Karachi: The Special Security Unit (SSU) recently held a shooting competition for the diplomatic corps at its headquarters, commemorating Marka-e-Haq and Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day celebrations.
Participants from 14 different countries showcased their shooting skills, competing in both individual and team categories. The team event concluded with the USA Consulate taking first place, followed closely by teams from Russia and Türkiye.
DIG Dr. Maqsood Ahmed, the chief guest at the event, commended the initiative for its role in strengthening diplomatic ties among the participating nations. He presented awards to the winners, adding to the significance of the event. The ceremony concluded on a festive note with the traditional cutting of an Independence Day cake, marking a successful celebration of Pakistan’s rich heritage and unity among nations.
