Hyderabad: In a vibrant display of patriotism and artistic expression, the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, in collaboration with the Sindh Government, held the Marka-e-Haq 78th Independence Day Grand Musical Concert at Rani Bagh, Hyderabad. This landmark event attracted an unprecedented crowd, cementing its place as one of the largest gatherings in the city's history.
Dignitaries from various sectors were present at the concert, including the President of the Arts Council, Muhammad Ahmed Shah, and the Sindh Minister for Culture, Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah. Other notable attendees included Hyderabad Mayor Kashif Ali Shoro and Sindh Minister for Irrigation Jam Khan Shoro.
The concert showcased an impressive lineup of performances by some of Pakistan’s most renowned artists, including Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Kaifi Khalil, Akhtar Chanal, Sanam Marvi, Taj Mastani, Young Stunners, and Bahadur Abro. Their electrifying performances infused the evening with an infectious energy, while national songs resonated throughout the crowd, igniting a spirit of unity and pride, with chants of "Pakistan Zindabad" filling the air.
In his address, Arts Council President Muhammad Ahmed Shah expressed, "We are celebrating Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day with national spirit and enthusiasm. This concert is dedicated to the youth of Hyderabad, who are cultured and full of life. It is a testament to our rich cultural heritage." He acknowledged the collaboration of local law enforcement, extending gratitude to various agencies for their support in ensuring the event's success.
Minister for Culture and Tourism Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah highlighted the Sindh Government’s commitment to enhancing the joy of Independence Day celebrations. He praised the Arts Council's efforts in organizing such an expansive program, stating, "Congratulations to the nation. Our armed forces have always given a strong response to the enemy, and we will continue to organize such events for the public."
Renowned artist Akhtar Chanal congratulated the nation on the Marka-e-Haq victory, reflecting on the vibrant spirit exhibited by Hyderabad’s citizens. Sanam Marvi, another celebrated singer, expressed her deep gratitude to the Arts Council for facilitating the event, underscoring the collaborative success between the Sindh Government and the Arts Council.
As the night drew to a close, the audience was treated to a breathtaking fireworks display, illuminating the skies over Hyderabad and further elevating the triumphant celebration of independence. The Marka-e-Haq concert not only commemorated the nation’s history but also fostered a sense of togetherness and cultural pride among its people.
