Karachi, Aug 25: The Mayor of Karachi, Barrister Murtaza Wahab, recently inspected the ongoing work on two new water supply lines in Gulshan-e-Hadeed. Accompanying him were Deputy Mayor Karachi Salman Abdullah Murad, elected chairpersons, and other municipal officials.
During his visit, Mayor Wahab expressed concern over the continuous negligence of the Pakistan Steel Mills administration, which has left the residents of Gulshan-e-Hadeed without access to a basic necessity like water. He criticized the obstinacy of a few individuals for causing severe difficulties for the local population. However, he assured that the municipal leadership is now taking concrete steps to find a permanent solution to this issue.
The Mayor emphasized that the leadership of Karachi is committed to providing citizens with essential services, with the water supply being their top priority. He announced that work on new water supply lines would also commence in other areas soon to address the broader water shortage problem.
He further stated that the pace of development projects will be accelerated not only in Gulshan-e-Hadeed but across the city to provide relief to the citizens. Mayor Wahab assured the people of Karachi that they will not be disappointed and that every possible effort will be made to ensure the provision of water, sanitation, and other essential services.
