Tribute to the Nation and Armed Forces on Victory against India at ‘Mairka-e-Haq’ and Independence Day Celebration
BMG Group Chairman Zubair Motiwala Takes Oath from Newly Elected Officials of Green Timber and Iron Market Association
Karachi: Under the auspices of the Green Market Timber and Iron Market Association, a grand ceremony was held to mark ‘Mairka-e-Haq’ and the 78th Independence Day. The event featured speeches by senior leaders, including Dr. Farooq Sattar (Senior Central Leader & National Assembly Member, MQM-P), Zubair Motiwala (Chairman, BMG Group), Javed Bulwani (President, Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry), Engineer Sarwat Ejaz Qadri (Chairman, Pakistan Sunni Tehreek), Senator Yousuf Baloch, Asif Gulfam, Rana Akram, Rizwan Irfan, and Farooq Jafrrani.
Participants expressed their deep love and commitment to the homeland on Pakistan’s Independence Day and extended heartfelt congratulations. They paid tribute to the Pakistani people, armed forces, and martyrs for the victory in ‘Mairka-e-Haq’ against India, calling it the result of the nation’s great sacrifices.
Speakers emphasized the urgent need to ensure the economic benefits reach the grassroots level. The development of Karachi was described as integral to Pakistan’s overall progress, stressing that Pakistan cannot advance without Karachi’s growth. Independence was called a great blessing from Allah, and everyone was urged to play their part in nation-building and development.
In closing, Tahir Sarbazi, newly elected President of the Green Timber and Iron Market Association, thanked all guests for their encouragement. Chairman Zubair Motiwala took the oath from new office bearers, including President Tahir Sarbazi, Vice President Haris Jafrrani, Senior Vice President Liaqat Ali, General Secretary Naveed Anjrowala, Finance Secretary Junaid Siani, Joint Secretary Haji Abdul Wahab, Information Secretary Sohail Baloch, and governing body members Owais Jafrrani, Murtaza Bori, Saleem Abbas, and Abid Khan.
A cake was cut, and flag hoisting took place to celebrate Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day. Local dignitaries, traders, and citizens enthusiastically joined, chanting slogans in support of Pakistan. The event concluded with special prayers for Pakistan’s security, progress, and prosperity.
