Commissioner Syed Afzal Zaidi Praises Efforts to Promote Youth Sports in Karachi

Karachi: Under the auspices of Karachi Basketball Association, the newly constructed basketball court at Happy Deal School, Nazimabad Campus, was inaugurated with great enthusiasm. The event featured an exhibition basketball match between teams Commissioner MC 5 and Umar Daraz Khan 5. The Commissioner MC team staged a thrilling comeback in the final moments to win 32-30.

The match was fiercely competitive and kept the audience on the edge of their seats, with decisive points scored in the dying minutes, making it a memorable event. 

Commissioner MC, Syed Muhammad Afzal Zaidi, the chief guest, praised the school’s efforts to promote sports and assured full support for developing basketball and other sports at the grassroots in Karachi. He also appreciated the dedication of Dr. Umar Daraz Khan and Sikandar Hayat Khan, highlighting the valuable role of private sector initiatives in engaging youth in healthy activities.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by prominent personalities from sports, social, and business circles, including SP Azam Hayat Khan, former Secretary of Agriculture Ms. Rashida Razi, and Akhlaq Ahmed of Pakistan Beverages. The event concluded with appreciation for the school administration, organizers, and players for their outstanding performance.
