Community Policing Karachi Delegation Meets Additional IG Karachi

Karachi: In a significant move towards enhancing community safety and cooperation, a delegation from Community Policing Karachi (CPK) met with Additional IG Karachi, Javed Alam Odho, at the Karachi Police Office. The delegation, led by Acting Chief Aamir Chhotani, included notable members Zeeshan Habib, Dr. Farah Isa, Moneeza Butt, and Maheen Khan.

During the meeting, Additional IG Odho extended his best wishes for the swift recovery of Community Policing Chief Murad Sony and acknowledged his valuable contributions to the initiative.

The CPK team took the opportunity to brief the Additional IG on their ongoing projects, which include the Green Project aimed at promoting environmental sustainability, the implementation of a Smart Surveillance System for enhanced security, the establishment of a dedicated Women Wing to address gender-specific issues, and a series of proactive initiatives targeting drug-related challenges in the community.

Commending these initiatives, Additional IG Odho highlighted that community partnership is essential for effective policing. He reinforced his commitment to supporting the Green Project, stating it is a vital step towards making Karachi a safer, greener, and more inclusive city for all its residents.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with the delegation expressing their gratitude and presenting a bouquet to the Additional IG Karachi, accompanied by their best wishes for continued collaboration in the future.
