Karachi: In a significant move to bolster bilateral trade, Lieutenant General (Retired) Peter Mbogo Nauru, the High Commissioner of the Republic of Kenya and former Chief of Army of Kenya, recently visited the Pakistan Tanners Association (Southern Zone) office. Accompanied by Mr. Bonface Njoroge Njuguna, Commercial Attaché, and Mr. Muhammad Hanif Janoo, Honorary Consul of Kenya, the delegation's visit was marked by warm welcomes from Mr. Hamid Zahur, Chairman of the PTA – Central, and Dr. Danish Aman, Chairman of PTA (S.Z).
The meeting facilitated in-depth discussions centered around enhancing trade relations in the leather industry and promoting the use of natural leather products. As a token of goodwill, Mr. Hamid Zahur and Dr. Danish Aman presented the prestigious crest of the Pakistan Tanners Association to His Excellency, symbolizing the strong ties between the two nations.
During the visit, the High Commissioner took the opportunity to tour a local leather garment manufacturing unit. His keen interest and appreciation for the intricate production process of finished leather garments reflected the potential for collaboration in this sector. The visit emphasizes the commitment of both nations to explore new avenues for trade and investment in the leather industry, fostering a spirit of partnership and mutual growth.
