Karachi: The Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi proudly hosted the “Certificate Distribution Ceremony 2025” for its successful short course students at Studio II. This significant event recognized the achievements of students across various disciplines, with the prestigious President of the Arts Council, Mohammad Ahmed Shah, serving as the chief guest.
The ceremony attracted a gathering of notable figures from the arts community, including esteemed television director, producer, and actor Khalid Ahmed; renowned artist Shahid Rassam; celebrated singer Ahsan Bari; and other prominent personalities, such as Imad-ur-Rehman, Mani Chao, and Muhammad Zeeshan, who shared inspiring messages with the graduates.
Khalid Ahmed shared insights from his own experience, highlighting the importance of studying the craft of acting. “Consistent effort is what perfects these skills,” he affirmed, urging students to grasp the fundamentals of performance.
Echoing this sentiment, renowned artist Shahid Rassam declared, “This is the beginning of your artistic journey. Many students from earlier batches are now stars — if you carry the same dedication, you too can reach great heights.”
Ahsan Bari, the renowned singer, emphasized the students' vital role in the arts and culture community, urging them to take full advantage of the Arts Council’s offerings in music, theatre, dance, and visual arts. He stated, “Many of our current faculty members were once our students,” underscoring the cyclical nature of learning and teaching in the arts.
From the Dance Academy, Mani Chao appealed to parents to support their children’s passion for dance, asserting that the Arts Council provides a nurturing environment for creative expression.
Imad-ur-Rehman advised music students to continue honing their craft, stating, “The Arts Council is the only institution in Pakistan where music production is formally taught.” Muhammad Zeeshan also celebrated the parents’ unwavering support, highlighting the ongoing success of Fine Arts students whose work is now displayed in galleries nationwide.
Certificates were awarded across various disciplines, recognizing the hard work and creativity of 23 students in Fine Arts, Calligraphy, Drawing, and Painting; 3 in Textile Design; 20 in Graphic Design; and 38 in Music, including Guitar, Violin, Vocal, Keyboard, and Audio Production, along with 29 students in Theatre.
The event served not just as a ceremony but as a celebration of artistic achievement, inspiring a new generation of creators in Pakistan's vibrant cultural landscape.
