Bilawal Zardari Joins Book Launch of "The Smile Snatchers" by Senator Mian Raza Rabbani

  Karachi: The Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi, hosted an event that addressed the harrowing plight of children in Gaza. The event, held in Auditorium I, featured prominent figures including PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah.

In his welcome address, Arts Council President Mohammad Ahmed Shah noted the depth of Rabbani’s writing, emphasizing its focus on the suffering faced by Gaza’s children. "This book is a powerful narrative of oppression and resilience," he remarked. 

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari highlighted the timeless impact of literature, stating that authors like Rabbani play a crucial role in documenting history. He condemned the ongoing violence in Gaza and stressed the need for unity among Pakistanis, urging everyone to focus on the country’s progress and humanitarian efforts.

Senator Raza Rabbani expressed his gratitude for the support and shared how the book was inspired by the atrocities faced by children in Gaza, stating, “ This book is dedicated to them.” 

Notable personalities, including Ghazi Salahuddin and Anees Haroon, praised Rabbani’s sensitivity and commitment to giving a voice to the voiceless, marking the event as both a cultural and humanitarian milestone. The ceremony concluded with heartfelt applause for Rabbani’s significant literary contribution.
