Karachi: In a significant move towards modernizing traffic management, an important meeting was held at the DIG Traffic Karachi office, chaired by DSP Admin Traffic Kashif Nadeem. The gathering included key figures from the Pakistan Goods Mazdoor Owners Association, including Secretary General Adeel Abbasi, President Shafiq Khan, and Vice President Imran Khan, as well as representatives from various transport sectors.
The primary objective of the meeting was to brief attendees on the implementation of a state-of-the-art contactless e-ticketing system, designed to enhance traffic regulation and management in the city. DSP Kashif Nadeem emphasized the crucial importance of strict compliance with established traffic regulations to ensure the safety of all road users.
In an effort to enhance road safety and accountability, all transport owners were instructed to install GPS trackers in their vehicles, allowing for real-time monitoring of drivers’ movements.
Representatives from the transport sector pledged their commitment to collaborating for the successful implementation of the contactless e-ticketing system. The meeting concluded with a collective understanding that adherence to traffic rules is essential not only for public safety but also for improving traffic flow throughout the bustling city of Karachi.
