Karachi: In a significant step towards addressing the challenges faced by the oil tanker industry, Additional Inspector General (IG) Karachi Javed Alam Odho engaged in a productive meeting with a nine-member delegation from the All Pakistan Oil Tanker Owners Association. The delegation, led by Chairman Gul Faraz Khan Jadoon, convened at the Karachi Police office to discuss critical issues related to traffic flow and security.
The meeting also included the participation of DIG Administration and Association President Muhammad Ramzan, among other notable members of the delegation. Key topics of discussion revolved around the pressing concerns that oil tanker owners confront daily, particularly in the areas of traffic congestion and safety on the roads.
During the discussions, IG Odho expressed his understanding of the challenges highlighted by the delegation and agreed with several of their practical suggestions aimed at enhancing operational efficiency. He assured the attendees of the police department's commitment to promptly implementing these recommendations, underscoring the importance of collaboration between law enforcement and the business community in maintaining law and order throughout Karachi.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the delegation expressed their gratitude by presenting a bouquet to the Additional IG Karachi, extending their best wishes for continued cooperation in the future. The meeting marks a promising chapter in the relationship between Karachi's police force and the oil tanker industry, signaling a collective effort towards a safer and more efficient transport environment.
