Karachi: The Mayor of Karachi, Barrister Murtaza Wahab, inaugurated a polio eradication campaign in partnership with religious scholars at Jamia Banuria Alamia. The ceremony was attended by the Commissioner of Karachi, Syed Hassan Naqvi, DC Kemari Raja Tariq, and other officials.
The Mayor emphasized that it is time for a decisive effort to eliminate polio and that Karachi must join the global movement to eradicate the disease. He noted that religious scholars unanimously agree that the most effective way to prevent polio is through administering polio drops.
Mayor Wahab urged parents to ensure their children receive the polio drops, highlighting that children’s health and future are a shared responsibility.
This campaign is viewed as a vital step in the collective fight against polio.
