Karachi: In a significant stride for the arts community, Muhammad Ahmad Shah, the President of the Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi, has expressed his strong belief that the newly established Nawabshah Arts Council will become an exemplary institution. His remarks came during a recent meeting with senior journalist Aziz-ul-Hasan Siddiqui, who serves as the President of the Nawabshah Arts Council of Shaheed Benazirabad.
Aziz-ul-Hasan's dedication to promoting the arts in the region was notably acknowledged as he presented the official documents for the Nawabshah Arts Council to Ahmad Shah. The establishment of this council has been hailed as a commendable achievement, with Shah pledging to visit Nawabshah in the near future to further support the initiative.
“I look forward to visiting Nawabshah soon. I invite Aziz-ul-Hasan Siddiqui to bring a delegation from the Nawabshah Arts Council to our headquarters in Karachi for a collaborative discussion,” Ahmad Shah stated, emphasizing the importance of mutual cooperation for the betterment of the artistic community.
He also assured Siddiqui of complete backing for the Nawabshah Arts Council, indicating that an important announcement will be made during his upcoming visit, which is expected to serve as a significant milestone for the council’s future.
Reflecting on the journey that led to the council's creation, it is noteworthy that in 2019, Ahmad Shah played a pivotal role in encouraging Siddiqui to pursue this vision. With his guidance and support, the dream of establishing an arts council in Nawabshah has finally come to fruition.
During the meeting, Aziz-ul-Hasan Siddiqui expressed heartfelt gratitude towards Muhammad Ahmad Shah for his unwavering support, stating, “Thanks to Muhammad Ahmad Shah, the Nawabshah Arts Council of Shaheed Benazirabad has now been established. Our relationship is invaluable, and I am deeply thankful to all the benefactors who supported this endeavor morally and financially.”
