Pakistan Music Festival 2025 Concludes with a Melodious Celebration at Arts Council Karachi

Karachi: The Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi successfully wrapped up the three-day “Pakistan Music Festival 2025,” a vibrant homage to the country’s rich musical heritage and legendary artists, held from October 10 to 12.

The festival attracted music lovers and artists alike, transforming the venue into a haven of melodies and celebration. On the second day, Chief Secretary Sindh Syed Asif Haider Shah graced the occasion as a special guest, accompanied by notable figures including President Arts Council Mohammed Ahmed Shah, Chairman Music Committee Amjad Hussain Shah, and Chairperson Women Empowerment Committee Chand Gul Shah.


Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, President Shah expressed, “Happiness is our right, and today this hall is overflowing with joy. Nowhere else in the world, apart from the Arts Council, can people enjoy such free entertainment. This year, we have paid tribute to Pakistan’s legendary singers through this music festival.”

In an exciting announcement, Shah revealed plans for a forthcoming ‘World Culture Festival’ project, highlighting that artists from 142 countries will be hosted at the Arts Council Karachi. “It seemed impossible to organize such a massive festival, but our province is ready to host it. Directors from theatre, music, dance, and film, as well as painters from 28 countries, will participate. The festival will last 40 days, featuring screenings of 2,500 award-winning films at no cost, along with workshops led by international masters of music, theatre, and dance,” he added.


The festival opened with captivating performances from artists including Karam Abbas, Shabana Kosar, Shiraz Siddiqui, and many more, who mesmerized the audience with their talent. The second day shone brightly with renditions by Humaira Channa, Ikhlaq Basheer, and Jamal Akbar, earning enthusiastic applause. The final day showcased powerhouse performances by Ghulam Abbas, Aroosa Ali, and others, leaving the audience spellbound with soulful melodies.

Shah also underscored the recent success of the Arts Council’s 13-day Theatre Festival in Hyderabad as a testament to the vibrant cultural landscape of the region. The “Pakistan Music Festival 2025” not only highlighted the diverse musical talents of the country but also reinforced the Arts Council’s commitment to promoting arts and culture in Pakistan.
