Karachi: The SBC Group of Companies rolled out the red carpet Saturday night with an exclusive dinner and Qawwali mehfil at a posh venue here, paying tribute to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi.
The glittering affair drew a who's who of the city's elite, including Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab and former FBR Chairman Shabbar Zaidi. Other luminaries in attendance were Senator Khushbakht Shujaat, MNA Asad Alam Niazi, MPAs Bilal Jadoon and Asif Khan, Sindh Bank President and Deputy CEO, Jubilee General Insurance CEO, EFU Insurance Vice Chairman, ex-Deloitte Partner Asad Ali Shah, honorary Consuls General of Ivory Coast and Tajikistan, former CPLC chief Ahmed Chinoy, ex-IG Sultan Ali Khawaja, Sindh government spokesman Nadir Gabol, top bankers, financial gurus, and business leaders.
In his keynote, SBC Vice Chairman and Executive Director Ali Pesnani underscored the group's dedication to boosting Pakistan's seafood exports and bolstering foreign exchange reserves. "We're committed to driving economic growth through innovation in fisheries and beyond," he affirmed.
The evening's hosts—Chairman Zahair Pesnani, Co-Chairman Khalid Tanveer, CEO Zaheer Hassan Ali, and Vice Chairman Ali Pesnani—presented Governor Kundi with a special memento, thanking him for gracing the occasion. They personally ensured every guest felt at home, mingling warmly throughout.
As one of Pakistan's seafood processing giants with ventures in microfinance, SBC continues to make waves in the industry, blending tradition with modern enterprise. The night wrapped on a soulful note with qawwali performances, leaving attendees inspired.
