Karachi: A meeting chaired by Inspector General of Police Sindh, Ghulam Nabi Memon, reviewed ongoing police efforts to arrest fugitives and absconders in murder cases. AIG Operations reported a 22% decrease in fugitive suspects and a 14% decrease in absconders this year.
District officers were instructed to activate special teams for these arrests and prioritize them daily. IG Sindh also emphasized personally reviewing arrests weekly, strengthening cooperation with other provinces, and using advanced apps at public places to ensure effective tracking.
According to IG Sindh, results so far are better than last year, but further improvements are needed. Faster and efficient police actions have raised hopes for better law and order in Karachi.
