Karachi: Under the directions of DIG Traffic Karachi and SSP Traffic Korangi, an effective traffic awareness campaign was held at AGS School Korangi. The campaign was led by the In-Charge Awareness Team, Sub-Inspector Suhail Ahmed, who gave a comprehensive briefing on road safety to students and teachers.
The campaign introduced the modern e-Challan system to familiarize drivers with new technology. Students were informed about the importance of mandatory helmet use and the dangers of violating traffic signals. Emphasis was also placed on having number plates, obeying one-way rules, and the harmful effects of one-wheeling.
The harms of using mobile phones while driving and preventive measures against accidents caused by veils or scarves getting caught in vehicle wheels were explained. Proper use of indicators and side mirrors was highlighted to ensure safe driving.
A key part of the campaign focused on legal vehicle registration and preventing illegal use of tinted glass, stressing that these laws help reduce traffic accidents and related issues.
The school administration appreciated Karachi Traffic Police’s efforts, calling such campaigns very positive for creating safety awareness among youth, and pledged to support similar activities in the future.
The campaign aims not only to promote road safety but also to prevent accidents on Karachi’s roads and ensure law and order.
