Karachi Set to Host International Book and EdTech Fair in May 2026

Karachi: The Karachi Expo Center will play host to the highly anticipated Karachi International Book and EdTech Fair 2026, a landmark event scheduled for May 2026. This unprecedented three-day fair aims to revolutionize literacy and education in Pakistan, bringing together over 200,000 students, 50 teachers, and prominent figures from the publishing and edtech sectors.


At a recent press briefing held at the Karachi Press Club, key figures, including Ali K. Chishti, CEO of M Tech Systems; Awais Siddiqui from Orbit Advertising and Event Management; Dr. Saad Bin Aziz of the Urdu Academy Sindh; and SM Sajjad, COO of Orbit Advertising, provided insights into the event’s objectives and exciting features.

"This event is more than just an exhibition; it’s a movement designed to elevate literacy, foster creativity and research, and strengthen Pakistan's educational framework," stated Ali K. Chishti. The fair will host over 250 stalls showcasing books and educational technology, establishing itself as a critical platform for collaboration among students, educators, publishers, and edtech innovators.

The fair promises an array of activities, including key book launches, live demonstrations of digital learning solutions, expert talks, panel discussions, and specialized training workshops. In a notable first for Karachi, an international pavilion will showcase over 25 renowned publishers from around the globe, highlighting Pakistan's growing stature in the academic and technological domains.

Event organizers emphasized the focus on essential themes such as artificial intelligence, digital skills, and forward-looking educational practices. Through this initiative, the Karachi International Book and EdTech Fair aims to bridge the gap between traditional educational practices and the technology-driven future, positioning Pakistan at the forefront of global educational dialogues.
