Karachi: The seventh day of the 39-day “World Culture Festival 2025” organized by the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi began with a fine art training workshop by the renowned Comoros artist YAZ, in which the artist YAZ taught the students the secrets of painting through the pen. Yaz said that you have to create your art within the portrait; the work of the Arts Council students is very good.
The festival screened 6 short films, including Pakistan’s Khalsh, The Gate (USA), Yungay (Spain), Dynamics (Netherlands), Dueto (Chile), and Bulgaria’s Embroidery Fairy Tale. In the music workshop, Balochi artist Ustad Noor Bakhsh presented a mix of Sindhi and Balochi cultural melodies, which forced the audience to dance. Daniyal also performed along with Ustad Noor Bakhsh. National and foreign artists, including President Arts Council Muhammad Ahmed Sha, participated in the workshop.
On this occasion, Ustad Noor Bakhsh said that before performing, he takes the name of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai and has done more than 100 shows globally. In the workshop, Ustad Noor Bakhsh performed the Balochi song “Leela Walila” and forced the Balochi audience to “do chapi”. Finally, the theater play “Dream Girl” by Karen Houge of Norway was presented, which was very much liked by the audience, and the actors were applauded for their excellent performance. Mix Well, who came from Canada to the festival, won the hearts of the people with his wonderful DJ performance.
