Transformative Art Takes Center Stage: “The Earth Song” Exhibition Enlivens World Culture Festival 2025

Karachi: The fourth day of the World Culture Festival 2025 was marked by an uplifting art exhibition titled “The Earth Song” at Café De Art. The event was inaugurated by the Sindh Minister for Culture and Tourism, Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, along with Arts Council President Muhammad Ahmed Shah, Parliamentary Secretary for Health Qasim Soomro, and prominent Swedish artist Domi Forest.*

The exhibition brought together a stunning array of works from both renowned and emerging artists, including Shahid Rassam and Farrukh Tanveer Shahab. This vibrant showcase was a testament to the rich artistic culture of Pakistan, reinforcing its stature on the global stage.

During the inauguration, Minister Zulfiqar Ali Shah emphasized the importance of cultural exchange, stating, "This is the second World Culture Festival, and through media coverage, it is being seen across the world. In many countries once torn by war, colors and creativity prevail. Through culture, we have shown the world that Pakistan is a peaceful nation where people from every religion, language, and ethnicity unite." He expressed gratitude to Ahmed Shah and the participating artists for their contributions to fostering a narrative of peace and unity.


President of the Arts Council, Muhammad Ahmed Shah, shared insights about the festival’s impact, noting, “We inaugurated the World Culture Festival on October 31. The festival not only features international artists but also highlights the work of our local students. As discussions on AI and environmental themes unfold, we’re proud to showcase 100 award-winning films selected from 3,350 global submissions during the festival.”


The exhibition was filled with energetic artwork from a diverse group of talented artists, including Farrukh Shahab, Jamal Aashqeen, Amina Khan, and many others. Participants like A.H. Shirazi, Anam Ashraf, and Khalid Anwar displayed their innovative visions, contributing to a vibrant conversation about art and its role in connecting cultures.


As the festival continues to unfold, attendees from around the world eagerly anticipate the nine exhibitions set to take place, including six featuring prominent international artists. The Sindh Government’s unwavering support has been instrumental in highlighting Pakistan's rich cultural heritage while embracing global artistic expressions.
