On the occasion of Christmas, Rev. Fr. Mario Angelo Rodrigues extended heartfelt greetings to Christians and people of goodwill, highlighting the universal message of love and peace associated with the festival. He said Christmas marks the birth of Jesus Christ, whose life and teachings continue to guide humanity toward values of love, humility, compassion, and harmony.
Emphasizing the true spirit of Christmas, Rev. Fr. Mario noted that the celebration calls for compassion, forgiveness, and sharing with those in need. He urged people to reach out to the poor, marginalized, and suffering segments of society and to play their role as instruments of unity and social harmony.
He further said that Christmas is a time for faith, reflection, and renewing commitment to moral values and social responsibility. At a time when the world faces numerous challenges and divisions, he added, the message of Christ promotes tolerance, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence.
Concluding his message, Rev. Fr. Mario Angelo Rodrigues prayed that the light of Christ may illuminate hearts and homes, bringing peace to the country and the world. He also wished everyone a blessed Christmas and a New Year filled with joy, good health, and God’s abundant blessings.
