Qatar Celebrates National Day with a Proud Display of Diplomacy in Karachi

Karachi: To commemorate the National Day of the State of Qatar, the Consulate General of Qatar in Karachi hosted a reception attended by dignitaries from various sectors, including officials from Pakistan's provincial government and the diplomatic community. The event, held at a prestigious five-star hotel, showcased the enduring friendship between Qatar and Pakistan.

His Excellency Nayef Shahein R.M. Al-Sulaiti, Consul General of Qatar in Karachi, led the proceedings, which featured a ceremonial cake-cutting alongside H.E. Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori, Governor of Sindh, and H.E. Syed Murad Ali Shah, Chief Minister of Sindh. The event also welcomed senior provincial ministers, including Madam Faryal Talpur, military officers, and numerous diplomats and industrialists, all extending their warm wishes to the Consul General.

In his speech, H.E. Al-Sulaiti expressed his aspirations for a strong and prosperous partnership between Qatar and Pakistan. He reaffirmed Qatar's commitment to its relationship with the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, highlighting a history of partnership that has significantly enhanced cooperation between the two nations. 

The Consul General referenced the notable agreements and memoranda of understanding established in 2025, which he views as pivotal in ushering in a new era of collaborative development and strategic partnership. Al-Sulaiti commended the achievements under the distinguished leadership of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar. 

He emphasized the significant progress made in various development sectors, citing Qatar’s exemplary model of comprehensive and sustainable development. Touching on Qatar's foreign policy, Al-Sulaiti remarked on the nation's growing role as a hub for dialogue and peace. 

He reaffirmed Qatar's commitment to humanitarian and relief efforts globally, emphasizing its foundational values of cooperation and solidarity. As a steadfast advocate for peace, Qatar strives to extend a hand in dialogue and stands resolute against injustice and aggression. 

This vibrant celebration not only highlighted Qatar's rich cultural heritage but also reinforced the bonds of friendship and mutual respect shared between the two nations, marking a promising future for their collaborative efforts.
