Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori called for unwavering national solidarity, stating that in the face of external threats, everyone—from political and religious leaders to the general public—must stand firmly with Pakistan. Addressing a joint press conference at the Governor House with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Tesori emphasized the religious community's historical support during crises involving Pakistan and Islam.
"At this juncture, the enemy is exploiting chaos, particularly in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, through disruptive elements," the Governor remarked. He urged religious scholars to issue Sharia-compliant fatwas and educate madrasa students about historical ties, noting, "This is the same Afghanistan we taught to walk, play, and thrive in trade and sports. Today, some have become tools of our adversaries—may Allah guide them, Amen."

Tesori highlighted Pakistan's strengthened position under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Hafiz Syed Asim Munir, adding that the full impacts of the country's economic surge are yet to unfold. "Political and religious groups must convey to the people that this is no time for divisions; it's about joining hands to overcome the economic crisis," he asserted.
Prior to the conference, Governor Tesori conferred an honorary doctorate from Sir Syed University upon Maulana Fazlur Rehman, recognizing his contributions to religious and national discourse. In a gesture of warmth, the Governor personally served a bowl of haleem he had prepared to the Maulana and his delegation.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman also participated in the Governor House's tree-planting drive, planting a sapling as part of the ongoing environmental campaign, symbolizing growth and sustainability amid national challenges.
The event underscored a message of collaboration between political and religious figures, aiming to rally public support for stability and progress in Pakistan.
