Federal Minister of State Kheal Das Kohistani Visits Orangi Town, Inaugurates “She Rides” Project for Women

  Karachi: A historic and unique initiative titled “She Rides” was inaugurated under the auspices of the FMG Empowerment Hub to empower women of Orangi Town with independent mobility and ensure their active participation in social and professional life. Federal Minister of State for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Kheal Das Kohistani, attended the ceremony as chief guest and formally inaugurated the project.

The “She Rides” project aims to provide professional motorcycle riding training to female students and women of Orangi Town, enabling them to become self-reliant in their daily commuting. The training programme includes practical motorcycle handling, comprehensive awareness of traffic rules and road safety, responsible riding practices, and training to deal with emergency situations. The project has received full support from the Commissioner Karachi, Deputy Commissioner West, TMC Orangi, and the Hunarmand Beti, Hunarmand Pakistan initiative.

Addressing the ceremony, Minister of State Kheal Das Kohistani praised the efforts of the FMG Empowerment Hub and termed the initiative a gift from the federal government for the daughters of Orangi Town. He announced the provision of three motorcycles for the project and said that the initiative is fully aligned with the vision of the leadership of Pakistan Muslim League (N).

During the ceremony, awards were distributed among prominent individuals and talented students in recognition of their outstanding services. On behalf of the federal minister, Faheem Ahmed (Mr Green), Rubina Shaheen, Dr Benish, and Saad were presented with gold medals and certificates for their exemplary social services. Students of government girls’ schools who secured A-1 grades were awarded certificates of appreciation, while teachers were presented with honorary “She Rides” pins. Other members of the FMG team were also given certificates in recognition of their contributions.

The event was hosted by FMG Founder and CEO Faheem Ahmed (Mr Green) and Rubina Shaheen. Speaking on the occasion, renowned personality Princess Sindh Ms Nosheba Naz highlighted the importance of women’s empowerment and their positive role in society.

Concluding the ceremony, Faheem Ahmed (Mr Green) thanked all participants and reaffirmed the commitment that FMG Empowerment Hub will continue its activities for the welfare of women and youth without discrimination of color, creed, or ethnicity.
