Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori has emphasized that ignorance is the root cause of terrorism, and education is the most effective weapon to eliminate this menace. Speaking as the chief guest at the 17th convocation of Greenwich University, he highlighted the role of knowledge in shaping a prosperous and secure nation.

The Governor remarked that Pakistan’s economy is now on a clear path of development, with the direction of the country becoming more defined after May 10. “Our next goal as a nation is to achieve success in the battle of the economy,” he said, noting that Prime Minister and Field Marshal-led efforts are steering the country towards economic improvement, earning international appreciation.

Highlighting Pakistan’s rising global stature, he pointed out that the Pakistani passport’s ranking has improved from 126 to 97, calling it a reflection of the country’s growing prestige. However, he stressed that continued effort is required to further strengthen Pakistan’s honor and identity on the world stage.

Governor Tesori also welcomed the participation of Consul Generals from the United States, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, and other countries, stating that their presence reflects the increasing international recognition of Pakistani universities.

Commending female students who won numerous gold medals, he urged parents to ensure that their daughters apply their education in practical life, enabling them to contribute effectively to national development. He also highlighted that 50,000 children are currently enrolled in Artificial Intelligence (AI) courses at the Governor House, adhering to international standards.

Describing Greenwich University as a proud institution, he appealed to the business community and university administration to increase scholarships for talented and deserving students.

He lauded the efforts of parents and teachers in creating educational opportunities and advised youth to avoid disappointment, embrace hard work and dedication, promote mutual love and tolerance, and be examples of good citizenship and humanity.
