Karachi: Following a notification issued by the federal government, Javed Alam Odho formally assumed charge as the Inspector General of Police, Sindh. With this appointment, he has become the 86th IG of Sindh Police.
Upon his arrival at the Central Police Office (CPO) Karachi, IG Sindh Javed Alam Odho was presented a guard of honour by a smartly turned-out contingent of Sindh Police. On the occasion, he visited the memorial of police martyrs, laid a floral wreath, and offered prayers.
Paying rich tribute to the great sacrifices of the police martyrs, the IG Sindh prayed for the elevation of their ranks. Later, he met senior police officers at the CPO and discussed organizational and administrative matters.
According to a spokesperson of Sindh Police, Javed Alam Odho, immediately after assuming charge, expressed his firm resolve to enhance the professional capabilities of the police force and to ensure the maintenance of peace and law and order in the province.
