Karachi: Hazim Bangwar, Assistant Commissioner, narrowly escaped injury when a petrol bomb was hurled at him during an anti-encroachment operation in the Le Market area.
According to Bangwar, an unidentified individual threw the petrol bomb while the operation was in progress. Although he remained unharmed, the explosive struck a nearby shop, triggering a fire.
He confirmed that three suspects allegedly involved in the attack have been taken into custody. The fire was swiftly brought under control with the assistance of Bangwar and others present at the scene.
Despite the incident, authorities completed the anti-encroachment operation successfully.
