KARACHI: A prestigious ceremony was held at the Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi, to recognize the outstanding cultural services of President Arts Council Muhammad Ahmed Shah. The gala event was organized by ZB Art Production and was attended by a large number of prominent writers, artists, intellectuals, and members of the cultural community.
Renowned personalities including Nazar Hussain, Mujtaba Naqvi, Adam Rathore, Younus Memon, Irfan Ali, Malika Mastana, Pervez Siddiqui, Wajiha Warsi, Hassan Kam, Zahid Shah, Sapna Ghazal, Danish Baloch, Zahoor Malik, Zahid Abbasi, Aamir Hokla, Naeem Kamal, Talha Bhojani, and Ashraf Chirag, along with many other stage drama writers and artists, participated in the event. A large number of art lovers were also present on the occasion.
On behalf of ZB Art Production, Shah Zahid Shah presented an honorary award to Muhammad Ahmed Shah in recognition of his invaluable contributions to art and culture. The president of the event, along with writers and artists, also presented a traditional Sindhi Ajrak as a token of respect.
Speaking at the ceremony, Arts Council President Muhammad Ahmed Shah expressed his gratitude and love for his fans and supporters. He said the Public Theatre Festival had been a super hit and reaffirmed that the Arts Council has always supported artists and would continue to promote art and culture. “We want everyone to walk together with love and unity,” he remarked.
Prominent cultural figure Nazar Hussain paid tribute to Ahmed Shah, stating that his efforts have brought Pakistani art and culture international recognition. “Very few people have worked so selflessly for culture, and Ahmed Shah is one of them,” he said.
Younus Memon and Zakir Mastana also praised Ahmed Shah’s continuous efforts in promoting arts conferences, theatre, and cultural festivals. They highlighted the success of the ongoing Awami Theatre Festival, which has witnessed massive public participation.
Adam Rathore noted that he felt honored to work with Ahmed Shah in various initiatives such as the Youth Festival and Music Festival, adding that such events play a vital role in connecting people with culture and creativity.
The ceremony concluded with applause and tributes for Muhammad Ahmed Shah, acknowledging his dedication to strengthening Pakistan’s cultural and artistic landscape.
