KARACHI: In a powerful testament to faith, compassion, and unity, the NIBD Welfare Society organized a remarkable Ramadan Fundraiser at Tabani House, DHA Phase 6, raising an impressive PKR 29 million on the spot, along with strong pledges for further contributions in the coming days.
The distinguished hosting committee reflected the credibility and dynamism behind the cause. Among those leading the initiative were Yasmin Dadabhoy, Saeed Allawala, Shamim Firpo, Aizaz Ul Haq Siddiqui, Fahad Ilyas Nainitalwala, Bilal Chotani, Syed Hussain Sajjad, Omer Bin Zahid, Adnan Abrar, Dr. Umer Shamsi, Razzaq Pardesi, Ather Khan, Naveed Bilwani, Moneeza Butt, Mian Idrees Hussain, Tanzeem Taj, and Usama Shamsi. Their presence underscored both the urgency and trust vested in the mission.
Highlighting the gravity of the cause, the organizers noted that bone marrow transplantation remains one of the most advanced yet prohibitively expensive life saving treatments. For many families, it is financially unattainable but for NIBD Welfare Society, it represents a moral obligation to restore hope, reclaim futures, and save lives.
As heartfelt stories of survival and need were shared, generosity rippled through the room. Pledges surged with passion and purpose, culminating in PKR 29 million raised live during the event, supplemented by strong assurances of further support signaling that the evening’s impact extends far beyond its immediate success.
Since its inception in 2009, NIBD Welfare Society has remained committed to ensuring that financial hardship never obstructs access to life-saving care. With this historic fundraiser, the organization has not only set a benchmark for philanthropy in Pakistan but also reaffirmed a collective belief that every life saved is a celebration of faith, mercy, and enduring hope.
