Reham Khan Vows to ‘Fight Karachi’s Case’ at Launch of Business Channel SEEN PROFIT

By: Aziz Khatri

KARACHI: Pakistan Republican Party chief Reham Khan has said that Karachi must be given the highest priority for Pakistan’s economic stability, warning that the country cannot progress if the business community in Karachi is unable to function. She vowed to “fight Karachi’s case,” adding that “if Karachi earns, Peshawar will also settle.”

She was speaking at the introductory ceremony of business channel SEEN PROFIT, to be launched soon by ACM Group of Companies in Karachi. The event was attended by prominent members of the business community as well as cultural and journalistic figures. ACM Group of Companies Chairman Farhan Pardesi, Director Irfan Pardesi, Director Property Irfan Memon, and Chief Finance Officer Faizan Rafique Pardesi played a central role in hosting the ceremony.

Reham Khan said there was a long-felt need for a dedicated business channel in Pakistan and praised Farhan Pardesi and ACM Group for stepping forward to fill this gap, expressing confidence that SEEN PROFIT would succeed. She vowed that the Pakistan Republican Party would raise its voice for people’s rights across the country and noted that “the flag has been raised from Karachi” because the city is Pakistan’s highest tax payer yet “has not been given its place” or due importance. She stressed the need for unity, saying the entire country must stand together.

Addressing the gathering, Farhan Pardesi and Irfan Pardesi urged the youth of Karachi not to lose hope or think of abandoning the city. “Karachi is our mother,” they said. “If a mother falls ill, she is not left.” They called on young people to play their part in the city’s development and in strengthening the national economy.

ACM Group Director Property Irfan Memon and CFO Faizan Rafiq Pardesi said that the SEEN PROFIT channel would be launched soon and would become the “voice of the business community.” They emphasized that giving due importance to traders and entrepreneurs is essential for national development and expressed optimism that “a lot of good is going to happen in the country.” They said the channel would help dispel the sense of despair prevailing among many in the business sector.

Speaking on the occasion, Sindh government spokesperson Nadir Gabol said the provincial government values and supports the business community. Naran Club Vice President Hammad Ali Shah also presented an introductory clip on the development of Naran, explaining that their inspiration for improving Naran Club came from Karachi Club.

The ceremony was attended by several notable personalities and senior journalists, including catering association leaders Ayaz Bandukra, Khalid Arain, Raheel Haroon, Javed Amin, actor Sajid Hasan, Brig (retd) Tariq Qadir, comedian Shahbaz, Barkat Uzmi, and Fahim, among others. The event concluded with Sehri, bringing the gathering to a close in a cordial and hopeful atmosphere.
