Karachi: Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi hosted a grand Iftar and dinner at Jaun Elia Lawn in honor of journalists, attended by a large number of media professionals from electronic, print, and digital platforms.
Addressing the guests, Ahmed Shah said that it has always been a tradition of the Arts Council to maintain close and cordial relations with the journalist community. He added that journalists have consistently stood shoulder to shoulder with the Arts Council in promoting art and culture and highlighting the institution’s activities.
He noted that the annual Iftar dinner is organized as a gesture of appreciation and gratitude for the continued support of the media.
The event was attended by several prominent personalities including Nisar Khuhro, President Karachi Press Club Fazil Jamili, Arts Council Secretary Ejaz Farooqui, Huma Mir, Amjad Hussain Shah, Ghazi Salahuddin and Dr Ayub Sheikh.
Senior journalists including Mazhar Abbas, Muhammad Farooq from Associated Press, AH Alauddin Khanzada and Raffat Saeed were also present along with many other representatives of the media.
The evening concluded in a cordial atmosphere, with participants appreciating the Arts Council’s continued efforts to strengthen its relationship with the media community while promoting cultural and literary activities in the city.
