Future Dental Professionals Take Oath at Prestigious White Coat Ceremony

 KARACHI: Altamash Institute of Dental Medicine hosted its White Coat Ceremony 2026, marking the beginning of an inspiring academic journey for newly admitted students and reaffirming its commitment to excellence and professionalism in dental education.

The ceremony commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, setting a serene and reflective tone. Sheema Farhan, Vice Principal and Associate Dean of Basic Sciences, delivered the welcome address, outlining the institute’s academic vision and warmly greeting students and their families.

Addressing the gathering, Hasnain Sakrani, Principal of the institute, shared insights from his professional journey and encouraged students to embrace integrity, dedication, compassion, and perseverance as the cornerstones of a successful dental career.

A key highlight of the event was the formal White Coat Ceremony, symbolising the students’ induction into the healthcare profession. White coats were presented by Mohammad Altamash, President and Sitara-e-Imtiaz award recipient; Ambreen Afzal, Institute Dean and Vice President of the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan; along with Prof. Dr. Hasnain Sakrani and Prof. Dr. Sheema Farhan.

The ceremony concluded with the administration of the professional oath by Prof. Dr. Ambreen Afzal, formally initiating students into their journey as ethical and compassionate dental professionals committed to serving society in Karachi and beyond.
